Coronavirus in Scotland: 123 new confirmed Covid-19 cases

The Scottish government has confirmed that 123 more people tested positive for coronavirus in Scotland in the last 24 hours.

It brings the total number of people who tested positive for Covid-19 to 20,318.

The 123 new cases represent 0.7 per cent of all those tested since 9am on Saturday.

Six of the new cases are in the Grampian health board area, 39 in Greater Glasgow and Clyde, 26 in Lanarkshire and seven in Tayside.

There were no new deaths in the last 24 hours, according to the figures.

So far a total of 2,494 patients have died in Scotland after testing positive for coronavirus.

The number of patients in hospital with confirmed or suspected coronavirus stands at 251.

Five people are now being treated for the virus in Scotland’s intensive care units.
