Boris Johnson announces month-long lockdown for England - here's all the restrictions in place

Boris Johnson as announced a raft of new restrictions in England at a press conference this evening, s the country goes back into lockdown.

Starting on Thursday, November 5, and ending on Wednesday, December 2, residents in England must stay at home, unless for education, work, exercise, shopping for food and essentials, or care of the vulnerable.

Among the other measures introduced are:

Meetings will be permitted with one person from another household, as will medical appointments. Pubs bars, restaurants must close except for takeaway and delivery Workplaces should stay open where people can't wait from home Single adult households can form bubbles with one other household Furlogh will be extended through November in England only.

Earlier this evening Scotland's First Minister Nicola Sturgeon has said people should not travel to or from England unless it is absolutely unavoidable.
