Cases in Lothians rise by 80 in a day as three new deaths are recorded across Scotland

The Lothians has seen a further 80 coronavirus cases confirmed in the last 24 hours as three new deaths have been recorded across the country.
The total number of positive cases in the region now stands at 3, 861, according to the figures which were released today, Saturday 19 September.

Hide AdAcross Scotland, 350 people have tested positive for Covid-19 since yesterday.


Of those, 100 new cases have been confirmed in Greater Glasgow and Clyde, 56 in Lanarkshire, 21 in Fife, 13 in Grampian, 13 in the Borders, 13 in Ayrshire and Arran, eight in Tayside, eight in Forth Valley, three in Dumfries and Galloway, three in Shetland and two in Orkney.
Nicola Sturgeon made a second call for an emergency COBRA meeting following the recent spike in cases.
On Twitter she made an announcement calling on the four nations to meet to discuss the next steps required to prevent the spread of the virus.
