Coronavirus: 190 new cases of Covid-19 confirmed in the Lothians in the last 24 hours

A total of 190 new coronavirus cases have been confirmed in the last 24 hour in the Lothians, according to the latest statistics by the Scottish Government.

Figures published today by the Scottish Government show that 190 new cases of coronavirus have been recorded in the Lothians in the last 24 hours.

The statistics revealed that 1,054 new cases of coronavirus have been confirmed across Scotland. Of the new cases reported today, 190 were in NHS Lothian, 195 in Lanarkshire and 410 in the Greater Glasgow and Clyde area.

The latest figures reveal that one more death has been recorded, taking the death toll in Scotland to 2,533.

28 people are being treated in intensive care with recently confirmed Covid-19, this is an increase of three people from the figure reported yesterday.

319 people are currently being treated in hospital with covid-19, this is an increase of 57 from the 262 people reported yesterday to be in hospital with the virus.

In Scotland, the total number of positive cases is 34,760.
