11 areas in Scotland with highest numbers of positive coronavirus cases

New Government data shows a breakdown of the number of positive coronavirus cases according to specific areas over a seven day period.

Data released by the Scottish Government breaks down the number of positive covid-19 cases according to individual neighbourhoods over the course of seven days.

The following list covers the top 11 areas that have recorded the highest numbers of positive coronavirus cases between October 10 and October 16.

Glasgow City is top of the list having reported a total number of 1,562 new cases over the course of the week while at the bottom of the scale, and not included in this list sits the Shetland Islands having only recorded one new positive case of coronavirus between October 10 and October 16.
