Coronavirus in Scotland: 1,054 new cases of Covid-19 confirmed in the last 24 hours

A total of 1,054 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in the last 24 hour in Scotland, according to the latest statistics by the Scottish Government.

The latest figures reveal that one more death has been recorded, taking the death toll in Scotland to 2,533.

28 people are being treated in intensive care with recently confirmed Covid-19, this is an increase of three people from the figure reported yesterday.

319 people are currently being treated in hospital with covid-19, this is an increase of 57 from the 262 people reported yesterday to be in hospital with the virus.

In Scotland, the total number of positive cases is 34,746.
