Coronavirus in Scotland: 192 new cases confirmed in the Lothians in the last 24 hours

192 new coronavirus cases have been confirmed in the Lothians according to the latest figures by the Scottish Government.

The First Minister announced today that 192 new coronavirus cases have been confirmed in the Lothians in the last 24 hours.

In total, 1,246 new cases have been reported across Scotland in the past 24 hours.

Six more people have died from the virus in Scotland, bringing the total death toll to 2,544.

The First Minister confirmed that 397 people are being treated in hospital with confirmed coronavirus, that is an increase of 20 from yesterdays figures.

Of the 1,246 new cases, 440 are in Greater Glasgow and Clyde, 306 in Lanarkshire and 192 in the Lothians.

The First Minister added that 33 people are being treated for the virus in intensive care, an increase of two from yesterday.

In total, 37,033 have tested positive for coronavirus in Scotland since the start of the pandemic.
