Coronavirus in Scotland: 250 new cases reported in the last 24 hours

The Scottish government has released the daily coronavirus figures and in the last 24 hours, Scotland has recorded 250 new cases.

15,916 tests were carried out in total and of those, 1.8 per cent came back positive.

168 people were in hospital with coronavirus yesterday, and 20 people were in intensive care.

No new deaths were recorded in the last 24 hours in Scotland, which means the death toll since the start of the pandemic remains at 7,626.

As of today, 2,657,578 people have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccination and 568,875 have received their second dose.
