Coronavirus in Scotland: Pupils told to self isolate for two weeks from Capshard Primary School in Kirkcaldy

Pupils at a Fife school where a pupil has tested positive for coronavirus have been told to stay at home for a fortnight to self isolate.

NHS Fife says the positive case at Capshard Primary School in Kirkcaldy continues to have mild symptoms and remains self-isolating at home with other household members.

Now the health board is saying that, pupils in Primary 1D and Primary 1A/2C are being contacted by the NHS Test and Protect Team who will provide appropriate public health support and advice.

Parents are being advised that pupils in these classes must self-isolate for 14 days from September 4 and can return to school on Monday, September 21, providing they remain symptom-free.

Anyone experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, such as a high temperature; a new, continuous cough; or a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste, are asked to arrange testing using the UK Government Citizens’ Portal or by calling 0800 028 2816.
