Coronavirus in Scotland: 192 new cases in the Lothians as country records 17 deaths

A total of 192 people have tested positive for Covid-19 in the Lothians as 17 new deaths were recorded across Scotland in the last 24 hours.

Since yesterday, 1,712 new cases have been confirmed across the country, according to the Scottish Government which released the figures today.

Of those new positive cases, 584 cases were in Greater Glasgow and Clyde, 457 in Lanarkshire, 192 in Lothian and 151 in Ayrshire and Arran.

The remaining were spread across the nine other health boards.

The total number of cases in Scotland since the start of the pandemic now stands at 52,615.
