Speaking at the daily coronavirus briefing, Nicola Sturgeon said there were no reports of centres having to close due to the weather.

She said: “Vaccinations are proceeding as planned today. Many people are getting vaccinated notwithstanding the weather. We have no reports of vaccination centres being closed.

"I know some people may not feel able to make their appointment today due to the severity of the weather conditions. However, the message is ‘Please try to make your appointment today if you can but if the weather makes that impossible you will of course be given an opportunity to rebook. You’re not going to lose your vaccination opportunity.”
