Nicola Sturgeon is to give an update on coronavirus on Thursday afternoon.

FM: Position on school bubbles will be decided and announced before schools go back.

FM: “I can only take the decisions that fall to Scotland.”

She doesn’t comment on decisions made for England by the Prime Minister.

FM: Hopes that recent numbers are showing a slowing down of the trend in the last few weeks.

This should lead to an easing of pressure from Covid on the NHS.

FM: “If you wear a face covering - however much you hate doing it - you are helping to protect someone else.”

“I want us to keep as steady a path forward as we can”

“Can I guarantee that - no?”

FM: We haven’t decided whether Scotland will follow England - it will be announced on Tuesday.

“Ir is right and proper we are criticised and scrutinised”

“I’m not saying I always enjoy it but I never shy away from it”
