These are the 12 areas of Edinburgh that recorded the highest numbers of coronavirus cases in the last week

New data released by the Scottish Government breaks down the number of positive covid-19 cases according to neighbourhood in the City of Edinburgh.

The new data shows that the highest numbers of positive cases recorded are from some of the most densely populated areas of the city.

The highest number recorded, 36, was in the Newington and Dalkeith Road area.

The data was recorded between October 10 and October 16, 2020.
