My Life In Lockdown: Nina Nesbitt talks eating whatever she wants, and missing the pub

Nina Nesbitt has come a long way since she was discovered by superstar Ed Sheeran at the age of 17.

Now 25, she’s firmly established herself as one of the brightest young talents in UK music, with a string of hits to her name including Stay Out, The Best You Had, and her stunning cover of Fleetwood Mac’s Don’t Stop for a John Lewis television advert.

In the latest in our exclusive series - with more famous names to come - the Evening News caught up with former Balerno High School pupil Nina to find out how she is coping under lockdown.

What is the best thing about lockdown?

Having 11 hours of sleep a night, and being able to eat whatever I want, whenever I want.

What is the worst thing?

The worst thing is that I've not been able to go down the pub with my friends.

Have you been more creative during lockdown?

I've definitely been more creative, but I don’t know how much of it will actually be used for anything. I’m just trying to use this time to do whatever I fancy doing and chill out a bit. The last three years have been really full on for me, with all the touring and travelling.

What’s your exercise routine?

It's been pretty non existent, to be honest … a few walks and sporadic yoga.

What's the first thing you plan to do when the restrictions are lifted?

The first thing I plan to do is go to the pub!
