There are now 188 positive cases in the Lothian region – yesterday there were 151.

The rise comes as Michael Gove MP warned the coronavirus lockdown would be in place for a "significant period" and could last longer if people do not stick to the rules.

He acknowledged today the scale of the "sacrifice" the public is taking but said he could not make "an accurate prediction" on how long it must be endured.

Greater Glasgow and Clyde continues to have the most cases of coronavirus in Scotland, with 401 positive tests. Shetland is the lowest with 27.
