Ten Fife schools linked to positive COVID tests

COVID contact tracing is underway at a number of schools across Fife following more positive tests.

NHS Fife confirmed Its public health test and protect team was checking a total of ten schools - five primary and five secondary.

In each case there have been only a handful of positive COVID tests.

Balcurvie Primary School Windygates - one positive case associated with the school, but the individual was not in school during infectious period.

Nursery at Dysart Primary School - one positive case associated with the nursery. Some contacts within the school also asked to isolate.

Methilhill Primary School -one positive case associated with the school.

Pathhead Primary School, Kirkcaldy -one additional positive case associated with the school. The cumulative number of positive cases since the start of the school term is two.

Torryburn Primary School, Dunfermline - additional one positive case associated with the school, taking the cumulative total since the start of the school term to three.

Auchmuty High School Glenrothes - four positive cases associated with the school, taking the cumulative total to six.

Balwearie High School, Kirkcaldy - two additional positive cases associated with the school taking cumulative number of positive cases since the start of the school term to seven.

Glenrothes High School - one positive case associated with the school.

Levenmouth Academ, Buckhaven - one additional positive case associated with the school, taking the cumulative number of positive cases since start of the school term to two.

Woodmill High School, Dunfermline - one positive case associated with the school.

In each case, close contacts have been identified and instructed to isolate as a precaution.
