These are the 12 areas of Edinburgh that recorded the highest numbers of positive Covid-19 tests in the last 7 days

New data released by the Scottish Government breaks down the number of positive covid-19 cases in each area of the City of Edinburgh.

The new data shows that the highest numbers recorded of positive cases are from some of the most densely populated areas of the city.

The highest number recorded, 179 new cases, was in the Newington and Dalkeith Road area.

The data was recorded between October 3 and October 9 2020.
