Teacher Lee Carson explained: “Every Christmas we do a staff video, so it made sense to do it again now to lift everyone’s spirits a bit.

“My wife, who also teaches at the school, came up with the song choice – we chatted a lot about it, it had to be uplifting – and I asked the other staff and had loads of volunteers.

“I basically asked them to film themselves singing and dancing to the song and send it to me and I cut it all together.”

All schools in the country were closed last month as part of measures introduced by the Scottish Government to halt the spread of coronavirus, so the video shows the various staff members dancing and having fun in their own homes.

Mr Carson continued: “We’ve had a really good response. Once it was made, the first thing I told my primary six class was to watch it! People have been really nice about it, and we’ve heard from a lot of families who have enjoyed it.”
