Police seize £10,000 worth in Capital drugs bust

Police in Edinburgh have charged two men aged 52 and 32 with drug offences after the recovery of a significant amount of Class A drugs from within the property and a vehicle located nearby

As part of the ongoing Operation Eagle, officers from the Pro-Active Unit conducted a search of an address in Murrayburn Place where £8500 of crack cocaine was discovered along with almost £2,000 in cash and other drugs paraphernalia.

Both men are scheduled to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court today.

Detective Inspector Paul Grainger from Corstorphine CID said: “Once again Operation Eagle has activity has resulted in the sizeable recovery of harmful drugs before they could reach our communities.

“Dealing with drug crime is one of Edinburgh division’s top priorities and we will continue to use every resource at our disposal to tackle crimes of this kind that are reported to us.
