Pub boss takes a 50% cut during coronavirus pandemic

Nick Mackenzie, CEO of Greene King, a company that includes Scottish pub group Belhaven among their brands, will be taking a 50% pay cut.

The 38,000 employees across the UK will be paid 80% of their average monthly wage.

The company has over 10 pubs in Edinburgh alone, with almost 100 across Scotland.

The pubs have been closed after a government shutdown forced all non essential businesses to close during the coronavirus pandemic.
