Socially distanced panto comes to Edinburgh’s Sick Kids Hospital
For the last five years Capital Theatres has brought a dash of festive sparkle to the wards of Sick Kid’s Hospital with their bedside pantomimes.
Their shows provide a specially designed relaxed performance for children and families who are not well enough to visit the theatre over panto season.

Hide AdStaff at the children’s hospital have teamed up with Capital Theatre to prepare enough panto packs so that each child can have their own panto by their bedside.
Delivered today the packs are jam-packed of panto related craft materials, colouring books, stickers, quizzes and materials to explore the fairytale story which will be left for the children and families to work through.
The box itself has been created from scratch and designed to transform into the King’s theatre with some easy-to-follow instructions.
Deputy Director of Children’s Wellbeing at ECHC Fiona O’Sullivan said that this year, more than ever, it is important no child misses out on the magic of the festive season.
