16. Jawbone Walk, Meadows
conservation work on the four whale jawbones which sat at the top of JawboneWalk on the Meadows. They had been exhibited at the 'International Exhibition of Industry, Science and Art' held on the Meadows in1886. They were then placed at the entrance to the east and west Meadows from the Middle Walk in 1887. the jawbones were removed - for restoration - in 2014. Photo: Malcolm McCurrach
