Hard Rock Cafe to hand out free milkshakes in Edinburgh on Blue Monday - here's how you can grab one

Could the January Blues be cured with a milkshake?

With many Scots predicted to feel the January Blues this Monday as the country battles through the dark, wet, grey first month of the year, feeling like payday will never come, Hard Rock Cafe in Edinburgh will provide a much needed lift with free treats.

On Monday 20 January between 6pm and 8pm, 50 people will get the chance to enjoy a free milkshake at the Edinburgh venue.

They should repost the Hard Rock Cafe post on to their own Instagram story or Facebook and then show up at the venue between 6pm and 8pm.

The deal is only available to the first 50 people between these set times.

The Blue Monday offer includes their Cookies & Cream Mini Milkshake or the Hot Fudge Mini Milkshake.

The concept Blue Monday was originally coined in 2004 by psychologist Cliff Arnall who came up with a “formula” for the January blues, which lands on the third Monday in January - dubbed as the saddest day of the year.
