Despite the virus’ best efforts, neither life nor love stop during a lockdown so we have compiled a picture collage of some of the best weddings across Edinburgh and the rest of the world to brighten up our days in isolation.
Last year was tough - and 2021 hasn't been smooth sailing so far- so we have decided to celebrate some of the joy out there with our readers in the form of lockdown wedding pictures you have sent in.
Whether it’s delaying a wedding or even in some cases moving the date forward during the pandemic to brighten up life, here are the nuptial pictures newly wedded couples have shared with us.

9. Village wedding bells
Laura-Jayne Barclay and her partner Bruce were supposed to get hitched on March 28, however, after a few changes they finally tied the knot on December 12 in the village Laura grew up in, with their 20 nearest and dearest. Lyndsey A R Clark and her husband Russell were meant to get married March 2021 but decided to bring the date forward to December 16 2020 as they 'needed something nice to end year with' said Lyndsey, "We got married at a completely different venue to plan and was small and lovely and better that my dad performed the ceremony."
