With pubs and restaurants due to reopen on 26 April, here we pick 12 of Edinburgh’s most popular beer gardens which you can book a table at now.

Campervan Brewery taproom

This popular brewery’s beer garden will open from 28 April with bookings being taken now.

The bar is kids and dog friendly and a great place to enjoy a freshly made, alfresco pint.

Holyrood Distillery courtyard bar

Following the success last year, the Holyrood Distillery Courtyard Bar will return from April 26.

Bookings are being taken now and customer can sample the distillery’s new gin - HolyXXXX

Bellfield Taproom

The Bellfield Taproom, part of Bellfield Brewery will be open from 26 April.

The team there said: "In the first week we'll be open 12-10pm, seven days.

"Then from 3 May opening times will be Thurs to Sunday, Thurs and Friday 5-10pm, and Saturday and Sunday 1-10pm.

"We're keeping this under review and will open up more booking slots depending on demand."

Three Sisters

With one of the most well known courtyards in the city, The Three Sisters in the Cowgate is famous for its drinks deals, pub grub and great atmosphere, and it'll reopen from 26 April.

Bar 50

Bar 50 in Blackfirars Street is taking bookings now for reopening on 26 April.

The dog-friendly pub, which will be open until 10pm from 26 April, is offering an NHS discount and a pre-order service.

CC Blooms

CC Blooms in Edinburgh created new outdoor seating areas for customers last summer when bars were reopened.

Teuchters Landing

Characterful, well-loved and great value, Teuchters Landing not only has a great selection of whiskies, beers and food, this water front bar also has a beer garden and a pontoon for when the weather is really good.

Set to reopen on 26 April, opening times are Sunday to Thursday 9am – 10pm and Friday and Saturday 9am-10pm.

The Royal Dick

Summerhall is home to a brewery, a gin distillery, a Drinks Lab, an arts venue and an excellent little bar, which has its own beer garden in the courtyard.

This beer garden will be open from 26 April, and booking and the team said: "We're opening for a bumper first week from 26 April with extended opening hours of 12pm-10pm through the entire week.

"Then we'll settle into our regular opening hours of 4-10pm Monday to Wednesday and 12-10pm Thursday to Sunday from 3 May."

Online table bookings are open now.

Honeycomb & Co

Have an alfresco meal and drink as popular cafe Honeycomb & Co will reopen from 26 April with seating inside and outside until 6pm every day.

As well as this the takeaway service will continue so customers can still take home cakes, bakes, brunches, coffee, juices and smoothies.

Wine, beer and cocktails will be available to enjoy outside.

Cold Town House

With castle views and a range of drinks and cocktails (plus freshly brewed beer), it's easy to see why this is a popular spot in the city.

Reservations are being taken now for reopening on 26 April and opening hours are: Wednesday-Friday 2-10pm, Saturday 12-10pm and Sunday 12-8pm.

The Bridge Inn

For those looking for a pint outside the city, The Bridge Inn at Ratho will reopen on 26 April and they have a new canal-side beer garden.

In addition to the existing and revamped beer garden, which has had patio heaters and awnings added, the new extended garden features an outdoor bar and rustic food shack that will serve sourdough toasties and authentic bratwurst.

Online bookings are now open and walk ins are welcome.
