Edinburgh bar CC Blooms no longer taking bookings for this weekend after announcing reopening on Friday

Earlier this week, CC Blooms announced that they would reopen their outside spaces on Friday, given that the Scottish Government gives the green light for businesses to do so, but those missing beer gardens have been quick to snap up the limited tables on offer this weekend.

The popular bar will have a front seating area and they have created a beer garden to the rear with some covered seating to accommodate as well.

However, after their announcement on Saturday that they would take online books for tables the slots over the coming weekend have been hotly snapped up.

Next Saturday those wishing to book are out of luck as well as there are no available time slots, however there are some on Friday 26 June and Sunday 28 June still up for grabs.

Each booking is for a maximum of two hours and CC Blooms have stated that and all bookings must be for people from the same household.

In the announcement on Saturday, CC Blooms posted: “All bookings are subject to Scottish Government Lockdown Rules, social distancing, weather and may be cancelled at short notice.

“We can’t wait to welcome you back. Baby steps and yes, things will be different. But we are returning and we will do our best to get back to the way things were over time.”

CC Blooms have been contacted for comment about the overwhelming demand for tables over the weekend.
