“Ever since we opened people have enjoyed what we offer. I’m very hands on and I’m always making sure things are up to standard. We serve up a traditional breakfast and that seems to hit the spot.

“The main thing for me is the way we make people feel. We have a welcoming and homely atmosphere and I think people leave satisfied that they’ve had that positive experience,

it’s about more than just a bite to eat. I take time to check on everything and chat to people.”

Mike said he’s stunned that his humble cafe is in the top ten per cent.

TripAdvisor described the award as: “Recognising businesses that consistently deliver great service. You’re part of an exclusive group, ranking among the top 10 per cent of listings on TripAdvisor.”
