This year will be a little different, but Edinburgh’s food and drink scene is still making it possible to celebrate February 14 in style.
From mouth-watering seafood dishes to cheeseboards to heart-shaped cupcakes, the city’s hospitality sector is offering a plethora of dishes to cater for different tastes.
Edinburgh Evening News has compiled a list of just some of the eateries that have special menus prepared to deliver to yours or a loved one’s door.
1. Garden Bistro
On the menu for Valentine's Day Garden Bistro have a canapé offering stilton, date and walnut chutney puff pastry pillow, a starter with twice-baked cheese souffle, served with an apple and celeriac salad, a main of Scottish Beef Wellington, served with potato dauphinoise, Provençale vegetable slice and a port wine jus and a dessert which is callebaut chocolate fondant served with macerated strawberries. 2. Harvey Nichols
What’s on the new menu? Harvey Nichols' three course menu for two begins with a starter of chicken and pistachio rillette served with last summer’s pickled girolles, honey mustard mayonnaise and red onion focaccia, followed by spiced pork belly served with leek and prune broth, turned new potatoes and a calvados cream sauce. 3. Wedgwood The Restaurant
Celebrating February 14 in style, Wedgwood The Restaurant is offering a Valentine's Celebration box - there will be the choice of a five course option and a seven course option, and you can choose which main course you would prefer, either the bavette steak for two or the langoustine dish for two. 4. The Lobster Man
The Lobster Man in North Berwick is providing a delicious Valentine's Day menu which includes a lobster and champagne pate to start with, a Scottish seafood platter to share or a lobster dressed in thermador sauce, coriander and garlic butter or cajun and honey butter to name a few.
