Unveiling the move on their Facebook page last week, Nok’s Kitchen announced that ‘Nok’s Kitchen on the Castle’ would be opening on October 23 - delighting fans of their Thai food who will now be able to enjoy their dishes at home while hospitality circuit breaker restrictions remain in place.

Having set up shop on Gloucester Street in Stockbridge back in 2016, Nok’s Kitchen has fast become a hotspot for locals and lovers of Thai cuisine, offering beautifully presented dishes bursting with rich flavours.

With an average rating of 4.5/5 in the 893 reviews posted on Tripadvidsor it is currently the number 1 rated Thai restaurant in the Capital, according to the website.

Their success in establishing their restaurant as one of the best spots for Thai food in Edinburgh has clearly shown itself in their decision to open up a second site. Nok’s Kitchen on the Castle takes over the spot on Johnston Terrace formerly housing a previous Thai restaurant, Thai Orchid, and looks to capture trade from tourists and foodies alike in the very heart of the capital.

On their website, Nok’s Kitchen says “we look forward to welcoming back when it is safe to do so. In the meantime, you can enjoy Nok's Kitchen at home!”.

Available to order online is a range of traditional Thai starters, with everything from vegetarian and duck spring rolls to Thai fish cakes and steamed dumplings. Nok’s Kitchen on the Castle also offers curries, stir fried dishes, salads and soup alongside classics like Pad Thai.
