Ravelston House’s Furlong’s Restaurant in Musselburgh has launched an offer for couples or foursomes to tuck into a three-course meal on a discount.

A starter of tempura prawns served with a sweet chilli dip or “Wee Beastie” haggis set on mash. Mains include a matured sirloin steak served with chunky chips. A dessert or cheeseboard will bring the meal to a finish. Choose from the following options for a three-course steak meal – £25 for two people (up to 57 per cent off) or £49 for four people (up to 58 per cent off).

n A NEW exclusive beer, Summerhall Pale Ale, is being created at the oldest part of the Summerhall campus, home to the original 18th-century Summerhall Brewery. The Royal Dick was once the Small Animal Hospital of the Dick Vet School. The unique destination bar/cafe has a quirky mix of art from all over the world and with authentic Dick Vet School fittings like the adjustable operation tables and antique furniture. The venue is available to hire for private events for up to 150 people with the option of a marquee bolted on for larger functions.
