The 22-year-old latest book, ‘Peter’s Baking Party’ covers a range of delicious recipes to sweeten all the seasons as well as allergies, in particular gluten free alternatives.

To celebrate the launch, he will bring a collection of fun and tasty festive recipes to a limited-edition afternoon tea, uniquely designed to inspire budding baking stars and bring to life the joy of baking.

Peter will reunite with Head Pastry Chef Silvia Santos and her team at The Bonnie Badger, as he steps into the kitchen to closely collaborate on a Christmas celebration.

The afternoon tea will take a decidedly festive twist, allowing friends and families to gather together and sample some seasonal savoury and sweet bakes.

Served in the Garden Room, guests will join Peter in a relaxed afternoon tea to celebrate his baking success and hear about the inspiration behind his new book as he shares stories of his own baking journey, alongside helpful hints to inspire budding bakers of all ages.

The afternoon tea will be served at 2pm and 4.30pm, and reservations at each sitting will be limited.

The menu will include an extensive choice of loose-leaf teas, infusions, or coffees alongside a seasonal collection of savoury and sweet surprises inspired by Sawkins’ book, all prepared with passion by Peter and The Bonnie Badger team.

Tom Kitchin, owner of The Bonnie Badger, said: “I really admire the philosophy of Peter’s new book in encouraging young people to get into the kitchen and build their confidence, skills and interest in baking.

“With lots of fantastic recipes, we’re looking forward to giving our guests a flavour of Peter’s new book and indeed sharing our collective, and deep-rooted passion for cooking and baking for all ages.”

Peter added: “I love baking and have been baking for as long as I can remember. My new book is all about sharing that excitement with other people and encouraging them to get into the kitchen.

“I still get a real buzz from baking so I’m looking forward to stepping into the kitchen at The Bonnie Badger and having a chance to share some of my favourite festive afternoon tea recipes with guests this season.”
