An Edinburgh cafe known for healthy food, a meal prep service and raw cakes has announced that it will open up shop in Stockbridge.

Grams, which was formerly located in Haymarket, will move into Hamilton Place within the next few months taking over the premise which was previously occupied by coffee and cycle shop, Ronde.

In an Instagram post, owners of Grams wrote: “FINALLY! It’s been 1.5 years since we found this place and there’s still loads to do but we are in!

"This will be the new and improved location for Grams at 68 Hamilton Place in Stockbridge. It’s gonna be a stressful couple months with starting @heyplantbae too but, let’s do it! With @splintrdesign"

Since moving out of their Haymarket premises, the health food cafe has been operating a pop up from private hire space Space at Seventeen in Stockbridge.

Since starting in 2015 selling raw, vegan, clean, dairy free, gluten free, refined sugar free cakes at markets around the Capital, the cafe has amassed a huge following amongst health food fans in Edinburgh.

Now located at the former Grams premise in Haymarket is Plant Bae, a vegetarian and vegan cafe under the same ownership.

In an Instagram post they explained: “We like to think that Grams is a health food cafe that is inclusive of all diets (not you keto) and allergies. I started Grams selling GF DF VG “Cheesecakes” and we have always offered a wide selection of vegetarian and Vegan options.

"More and more people are transitioning to a more/fully plant based diet and there are many reasons for this.

"Our goal at Plant Bae is simple: Try to get everyone to eat one more plant based meal than they already have a week....that’s it. And let’s have fun with it. We aren’t gonna hold you hostage until you only eat carrots and lentils.

"Our food is going to be tasty and sexy AF. If we can’t change your mind then so be it, no judging here. We can’t do everything perfectly, it’s just not possible but we can try to make small changes and begin to see a difference.”
