Hungry customers will be able to order their meals from the Deliveroo app from Wednesday 20 May after a wait of nearly two months since lockdown began and restaurants shut their doors.
A spokesman for Nando's said: “Edinburgh Fountainpark is due to reopen for delivery tomorrow and will be on Deliveroo.
“We are turning on our click and collect service (takeaway) at a number of restaurants this week as a safety test and if that goes well then Edinburgh should be offering click and collect in the near future as well. We have no plans to stop delivery from any restaurant, click and collect would work in parallel.”

Nando’s added that the click and collect service, when it reopens, will minimise any queues as all orders and payments will be done online. Order frequency will be monitored to minimise and hopefully remove queues and customers will be asked to maintain social distance while picking up their food.
At present, it is understood that only the Fountainpark restaurant will reopen in Edinburgh.
