New craft beer and pizza bar opens at Loanhead brewery

A local independent brewer is set to open their new bar and pizza kitchen this weekend after undergoing an extensive makeover during locker.

Stewart Brewing previously hosted a small marquee bar at its location in Loanhead where locals could enjoy a glass of fresh beer and occasionally pop-up food vendors, however over lockdown the brewery took the opportunity to renovate the space.

A kitchen has been added which boasts an impressive 800kg pizza oven, and the brewery on the outskirts of the city can now serve up a freshly cooked selection Neapolitan style pizzas with unique toppings such as venison and fig and buffalo chicken, all made by their chef, Ram.

Customer experience manager, Sarah Stirton, said: “We have been building our plans to revamp our bar for a while and when lockdown happened it seemed right to take advantage of that time.

“We have been working on the area for over a year, the plans kept evolving as we worked on the project, and we are very excited about what we have built.”

The bar’s drinks range has also been expanded to include something for everyone including wines, spirits, and soft drink selections.

Not forgetting the outdoor space which has been turned into a beer garden fully equipped for the Scottish weather with a covered area with heaters.

Stewart Brewing are open Thursdays and Fridays from 4pm until 10pm, Saturdays from 12pm until 10pm and 12pm until 8pm on Sundays.

Under 18s are welcoming until 8pm and it is dog friendly.
