The owner of the popular Stac Polly restaurant on Dublin Street explained that they have been continuing to offer a home delivery service to help offer their fans a way to enjoy their much-lauded Scottish cuisine during the coronavirus outbreak.

However, after securing their premises on Sunday evening after finishing prepping meals for the service, they came in on Monday morning to discover damage to their garden patio and oil, which had been securely stored, taken and poured all over the ground.

Mark said: “We came in on Monday morning and the patio had been accessed overnight and trashed. They poured oil, which was securely stored in the appropriate waste collection bin, all over the place. You would have to release the catches on the bin in order to open it.

“Dangerous, as it’s now slippy underfoot, and a hell of a mess to clear up before we could start prep for this evening. We just don’t need this whilst we’re working hard to keep a small independent family business afloat and service our local customers, who have been so supportive of us.”
