Queues of 'up to 40 minutes' as Costa drive-thru reopens in Edinburgh
A Costa drive-thru in the Capital which opened over the weekend has seen queues of ‘up to 40 minutes’ as locals make trips for a takeaway cup of coffee.
The drive-thru at Cameron Toll reopened over the weekend and locals in the surrounding area reported seeing ‘around 20’ cars queuing at a time to be served with the queues lasting ‘up to 40 minutes’.
It is also claimed that workers in high vis jackets were seen to be approaching car windows and speaking to drivers which has caused concern to the residents about social distancing measures.
Drivers queued around the car park as they waited to be served by the baristas, who were wearing protective gloves and masks.
Massive tailbacks were reported around the UK as 29 branches returned over the weekend.
Costa have been contacted for comment.
