McDonald's made its long-awaited return last week when it reopened a number of restaurants in Edinburgh and the Lothians for drive-thru only - and now fans can get their fast food fix from the comfort of their own home as the chain today (10 June) brings back its delivery service.

McDonald's was forced to shut its restaurants across the UK amid the Covid-19 lockdown.

Last week, it had reopened more than 1,000 UK sites for drive-thru under plans for a gradual restarting of its operations.

Now, McDonald's have reopened 570 restaurants for delivery across the UK, which can be ordered through Uber Eats and Just Eat.

McDonald’s UK & Ireland CEO Paul Pomroy said: "Today, we switch McDelivery back on in over 570 restaurants across the UK and Ireland."

Due to huge demand, McDonald's is limiting all orders to £25 on home delivery orders.
