A popular Capital Christmas bar will be reopening on October 16 in the lead up to the festive season, and will stay open until after New Year.

THOR’S will be popping back up on Waverley Mall’s iconic rooftop in the centre of Edinburgh and will be hiring 50 members of staff from across the city.

The bar, based on Viking heritage will team up with local food and drink companies from around the city.

Although many Christmas attractions and pop up bars have been approved by Edinburgh City Council, the Capital’s usual festive season will not take place.

The world famous Edinburgh Hogmanay Festival was cancelled in July due to coronavirus fears and festive events will be spread across the city in order to make them as safe as possible.
