Wetherspoon pubs in Edinburgh are about to become even cheaper after the chain announced a January sale.

The two-week event, which will see some pints slashed to less than £2, is from January 3 to January 17 in Scottish outlets.

Nine Edinburgh drinking holes will be involved in the sale, including The booking Office at Edinburgh Waverley station and The Sir Walter Scott at Edinburgh Airport.

The Foot of the Walk in Letih and The Caley Picture House on Lothian Road are also included, as is every other Wetherspoon pub in Edinburgh and the Lothians (You can search for all locations HERE).

Draught beers, alcohol-free drinks and soft drinks are all included in the massive discounts.

John Hutson, Wetherspoon’s chief executive, said: “Department stores and shops hold their sales in January, so it is the perfect time to have a sale in our pubs too.

"The range of drinks on sale in the pub is aimed at suiting a wide variety of tastes.

"This year we have included our biggest selection of low and non-alcoholic drinks.

"I believe that the January Sale will prove popular with our customers.

"As always, staff at the pub will serve customers responsibly."
