Each street in the city has a designated Christmas tree collection day in January.

Find out when your neigbourhood’s collections are taking place, by entering your street in the council’s handy Christmas tree collection directory.

How to prepare your tree

The council have urged residents to take the following steps when preparing their tree for collection:

- Remove any stand or base

- Remove all decorations from the Christmas tree

- Cut it in half if it is 6ft tall or higher

- Don't place trees in plastic bags

Where should I leave my tree?

The council have asked that residents leave their tree on the kerbside by 6am on your designated collection day or next to a communal bin, if you use our communal bins.

Be careful not to block access to the bin or pavement.
