The Arden Street flat has been named by Rebus author Ian Rankin as the stair where the detective lives, and has gone on the market for £450,000.

Ian Rankin has written 22 novels set in Edinburgh and centred around Inspector John Rebus, with the latest, “In a House of Lies” released in 2018.
