The Halifax Quality of Life survey 2020 has revealed the best places to live in Britain for a good quality of life.
The annual survey looks at a combination of 26 different factors, including life expectancy, happiness scores, exam results and average earnings.
These are the top 10 best places to live in the UK according to that survey. Full results can be found on Lloyds Banking Group’s website.
1. East Hertfordshire, East of England
East Hertfordshire came out on top as the best place to live in Britain thanks to strong exam results, good health and happiness scores, high life expectancy and high average earnings.
2. Fareham, South East England
In second place was Fareham, one of several South East locations to make it into the top 10.
3. Hart, South East England
Hart District is one of the wealthiest, least deprived areas in the UK - so it’s hardly surprising that it made it onto the Halifax list as the third best place to live for a high quality of life.
4. Horsham, South East England
Also in the South East, the market town of Horsham was designated a great place to live for a high quality of life.
