My perfect weekend: Sue Mitchell, co-owner of Cafe Musa on The Mound (North Bank Street)

1: Who would be your ideal weekend companion? My best friend, Audrey. I’ve been so busy since we opened Cafe Musa earlier this year that I haven’t seen enough of her.

2: Where would you take her in Edinburgh? The Royal Botanic Garden, as it is such a beautiful backdrop for a stroll and a chat.

3: Where would you go for breakfast, lunch and dinner and why? Breakfast in the Garden’s Gateway restaurant – you can’t beat the stacked pancakes with bacon and maple syrup. Lunch at the Water of Leith Cafe Bistro for its fuss-free food and Fishers in the City for dinner.

4: What item could you not be without and why? My iPhone, as I always like to be able to have photos of my husband and wee boy.

5: How would your perfect weekend finish? We’d meet my husband, son and dog for a walk on the beach at Tyninghame, followed by a trip to the cinema.
