Experience tells in the search for perfect gift
Last-minute help is at hand for shoppers in the Capital still struggling for gift inspiration for their nearest and dearest.
With less than a week to go, John Lewis & Partners has launched a new range of experiences – with the difficult-to buy-for loved one in mind.
It follows research commissioned by the retailer which found that more and more Christmas shoppers are looking for personalised and memorable presents for those who seem to have everything.
Options available in Edinburgh include of a personal styling experience, a pampering session and an interior design experience, all starting from £50.
Recipients of Style Confidence will be invited to sit back in a styling suite with a glass of Prosecco, while a stylist finds pieces they’ll love. They can then spend their included gift card on the clothes and accessories they want to take home.
Beauty Indulgence allows the recipient to choose from a range of luxurious beauty treatments, before using the balance of their gift card to purchase products. An Inspiring Interiors experience will help them to create a new look for their home during a 90-minute appointment with a John Lewis home design stylist, with tailored recommendations on products.
A Confident New Parents experience is also available, featuring a personal nursery consultation and advice on babywear.
Anna Berry, Head of Gifts, Cook and Dine at John Lewis said: “We put ourselves under so much pressure to buy perfect Christmas gifts. Customers tell us that they have two things in mind when they shop, which are getting the gifts on their list and inspiration for family and friends they don’t know what to give.
“Experiences are a great choice for loved ones who seem to have everything, or who don’t know what they want.”
Gifts of Experience cards can now be purchased in John Lewis and Waitrose shops in Edinburgh and at www.johnlewis.com.
