M&S expands range at ERI to give more choice to NHS staff in lockdown

The M&S food store at Edinburgh Royal Infirmary has expanded its range to give more choice to NHS staff in lockdown.
The move is part of a UK-wide drive to increase range in hospitals after feedback from NHS workers, so they can pick up the ingredients for dinner after a shift.
Meat and fish has now been included at the ERI store, with salmon, chicken and mince introduced.
There is also a wider range of pre-prepared meals on offer, including Macaroni Cheese, Chicken Tikka Masala and Beef Lasagne.
More toiletries have been made available, with toothpaste, toilet roll and menstrual products now on offer.
There will also be larger daily deliveries of basics such as milk, bread and eggs.
Shona Lawrie, head of region for M&S Scotland North East, said: “We are fully committed to supporting our fantastic NHS workers to ensure they have access to essential food and supplies whilst caring for our communities.
“We’ve had incredibly positive feedback from M&S hospital stores to date, highlighting that they are well stocked, and that our colleagues continue to go above and beyond to help in these challenging times.
“We will be constantly monitoring stock and demand in each store to ensure they are fully prepared to support our frontline workers.”
