In response to the huge demand, Jet2.com and Jet2holidays has added almost thousands more seats on flights to Antalya and Dalaman.

This increases the company’s total capacity to Turkey (Dalaman, Antalya and Bodrum) this summer from Edinburgh Airport.

With more seats added to Rhodes in response to direct demand, as well as flights and holidays to Crete (Heraklion) also available this summer from Edinburgh Airport, there are plenty of options available for sun-seekers this summer.

Jet2 is working with governments and tourist boards to attract holidaymakers on the back of this increase in demand, and Wednesday's announcement is a huge boost to both Turkey and Greece.

“We are seeing a real spike in demand for holidays and flights to Turkey and Greece, and as usual we have been quick to respond to what our customers want,” said Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays.

“With more seats and holidays on sale to these fantastic destinations from Edinburgh Airport, along with some fabulous deals, there’s no better time to escape the gloom of the UK and reach the turquoise seas and stunning beaches of Turkey and Greece.

“We have been demonstrating our commitment to Turkey and Greece over recent years, as seen through our continued growth, and we are working with governments and tourist boards to strengthen and develop that commitment.
