Try your hand at Italian cuisine with help of award-winning chef

IT’S a New Year and the perfect opportunity to try something new. So if you’ve always fancied trying your hand in the kitchen, then cookery classes being dished up at Italian restaurant Locanda De Gusti, in East London Street at the foot of Broughton Street, could prove a tasty prospect.

You can learn to prepare a three-course traditional Italian meal with head chef Rosario Sartore – who has twice earned the coveted AA Rosette for Culinary Excellence – before sitting down to enjoy the fruits of your labour.

The classes run on January 14, 21 and 28, and February 4 and 11, from 6-10pm.

At a cost of £29, an Italian teacher will be on hand to translate basic phrases. To book, or for further information, contact Maria Sartore at the restaurant on 0131-558 9581.
