Why Gemma Collins is wrong about using smartphones in toilet – Hayley Matthews

Hayley Matthews takes issue with Gemma Collins’ advice not to use smartphones in the toilet as it’s one of the few places where she gets time to check it.

With all the serious news that’s been circulating recently I have to thank Gemma Collins for some light-hearted advice – although I don’t actually think she gave the advice with the intent of causing a bit of hilarity.

The advice she offered which has caused me so much amusement – brace yourselves – is not to take your phone in with you when you go to the toilet. This wise advice is on the back of all the snooping through apps with some creeps taking advantage of your mic and camera settings to drop in on your daily conversations and morning ablutions.

I know, with Gemma being in the public eye, it leaves her vulnerable to being a target of toilet humour.

However, the thought of seeing or hearing her doing what we all do on the toilet has left me with an image that I’d rather not have floating around my head.

If I were to name my top five who I would never ever want to see or hear in that situation then, trust me, Gemma Collins is up there. She joins Donald Trump, Coleen Nolan, Kim Jong-Un and Keith Lemon.

You clearly don’t have kids Gemma, because if you did, you’d know that going in to the loo with your phone is the only time you get two minutes’ peace and quiet to check it. And don’t worry – yes, I wash my hands!

My advice if you do take your phone into the loo for some peace and quiet would be for goodness’ sake, whatever you do, don’t put it in your back pocket – it might fall out in a very messy way!
