Football’s coming home this time, with the Euros kicking off an epic summer of sport.

All eyes are on the Tartan Army as they face Switzerland and then Hungary in Germany this month.

Here’s your guide to the 2024 UEFA European Football Championships – plus how to never miss a game again:

‘Getting the best out of his players’

Our national men’s football team has been making steady progress on the international stage, thanks in part to us passionate fans as well as their competitive spirit.

It’s hoped that they can make a significant impact at the Euros; manager Steve Clarke has been instrumental in Scotland's recent successes, and his tactical judgement and ability to get the best out of his players will be crucial for Scotland’s performance.

Who to watch

Andy Robertson (captain): the Liverpool left-back’s strengths are his crossing ability and defensive skills as well as the leadership he shows.

Kieran Tierney: Arsenal left-back/ centre-back Tierney shows versatility and pace, plus a mean tackle.

John McGinn: the Aston Villa midfielder boasts bags of energy that make him one to watch for goals and for passing on-target.

Scott McTominay: the physicality and aerial ability of this Manchester United midfielder aren’t to be underestimated – nor is his box-to-box play.

Che Adams: for speed and work rate, it’s hard to beat Southampton forward Adams.

Make a date for your diary

After playing hosts Germany on Friday, 14 June, Scotland next face Switzerland at 8pm on Wednesday, 19 June. Then they're up against Hungary on Sunday, 23 June, at 8pm again.
