Airport recruitment centre just the job for high flyers

A NEW recruitment centre at Edinburgh Airport is to be officially launched on Monday.

The recruitment centre has been created by Edinburgh’s Joined Up For Jobs partnership and is led by JobCentre Plus and Stevenson College.

It provides a free bespoke recruitment service for employers based at the airport and the surrounding area, including the Gyle Shopping Centre and Edinburgh Park Business Centre.

Two Jobcentre Plus employment advisers staff the centre, offering free services including vacancy advertising, application/CV sifting and information-gathering for security checks.

The centre can also provide employers with interviewing facilities.

Since opening in March, it has already handled over 1000 vacancies from across Scotland.

Councillor Tom Buchanan, the city’s economic development leader, will officially launch the centre on Monday at the Hilton Airport Hotel.
